History and development
Design context
Launched in 2006, the HK P30 was developed to meet the needs of European police forces, notably the German and Norwegian police. It is a partial successor to the HK USP, offering improved ergonomics and a customizable grip.
Modularity has been a central feature of our development: the P30 offers several sizes of handle backs and side panels, enabling adaptation to the morphology of each user.
Model evolution
Several variants of the P30 have been developed:
P30L: version with extended barrel and slide for greater precision.
P30SK: subcompact version for concealed carrying.
P30S / P30LS: versions with ambidextrous safety lever.
P30 V1 and V3: different trigger options (LEM or DA/SA).
This diversity of variations has enabled the P30 to establish itself in many of Europe’s elite corps.
